Herbed Hummus

Hummus is just one of those foods that fits in everywhere.  It’s one of our favorite snacks combined with fresh veggies or pita! Although store-bought hummus is good, Fresh hummus is in its own world of yumminess. There are many good recipes for hummus – this one takes advantage of your Nutritowers fresh herbs to elevate it even higher. Enjoy!


2 x 15-ounce cans chickpeas (garbanzo beans) drained and rinsed

.5 cup of tahini

.5 cup of water

1 lemon zested and juiced

.25 cup chopped fresh basil

.25 cup chopped fresh parsley

.25 cup fresh chives

.25 cup fresh mint

1 clove garlic peeled

.5 teaspoon salt


Prep time approx. 15 mins Ready in 20 mins

From your Nutritower gather basil, parsley, chives and mint. Chop the basil and parsley.

Blend the chickpeas, tahini, water, lemon zest, lemon juice, basil, parsley, chives, mint, garlic and salt in a blender until smooth.
